A calm and peaceful run in the afternoon for a great cause started in the same spot as the Gorilla Run earlier in the day. Although there weren’t any fancy dresses the runners were non the less impressive. The winner had just run the Gorilla Run earlier and another runner ran the whole distance barefoot.
This must have been the most hilarious race we have covered yet. As if running in the centre of London dressed as a gorilla wouldn’t be enough, most runners had another costume on top of that. Gorillas in bikinis, mankinis, dressed as nuns, warriors, doctors, builders and anything else you can think of. Quite a few gorillas didn’t give a monkey’s about having their number on but we still tried to tag them to make your life easier. A very special race to us, not only because of the great atmosphere, the beautiful cause, the events and the fun around it but also because it was the very first race we covered almost a year ago. That’s right it was our 1st Birthday this Sunday!
Birthdays are a good time to look back and think things over… but not for us! :) We are, of course, insanely proud we got to where we are today but we’re looking forward (and don’t tell anyone, but there are big things coming). I am so excited I can barely keep my mouth shut but you’ll have to wait for it and there will be loads of news soon. Stay tuned and I’m sure you will be impressed.

“I haven’t seen that many women in my entire life!”
