It’s all about the feet. No matter where you run and how fast or slow you are, it’s still them dragging you along wherever you decide. And it’s them wining you medals or slowing you down so you come the last one. And there’s no need to be angry if they don’t take you flying past the others, you just need to give them some respect. And I haven’t seen a better way to do that than in LBH Bridges Relay.

The feet were just resting on the wall, enjoying the sunset in front of Houses of Parliament.

Even though we’re not running, we still respect them (the feet, I mean (oh yeah, and the runners)), so we’ve even put some random feet in the photos this time, like a little reminder.

Respect.

Sumo Run 2009 photos

We’ve covered a few fun runs already (Santa Run, Nun Run and Heroes Run) but we haven’t seen anything like this yet. It was sure fun to watch and even though everyone was smiling I guess not many of them imagined what they’ll have to go through when signing up. You could guess it’s going to be hot in that costume (and I was told it really was a sauna in there) but who would’ve thought that every single dog in the park will want to have a bite of you?

The Picnic and Midsummer Munro 2009 photos

Wow, full respect to anyone who was there. It’s not called “the toughest marathon in Britain” for no reason and people who come here to do it certainly know what they’re doing (or at least they think they do before they start running). Just getting to the first viewpoint felt like enough of a challenge for us but the views more than make up for it. We only checked one of the hills (the nearest one of course) but I guess we’ll come back there someday (someday meaning the whole wekend at least) just to walk the route and see what the runners went through.Picnic 2009Picnic 2009Picnic 2009Picnic 2009Picnic 2009

I guess that’s how the big races started – everyone just loved running, enjoyed being together and didn’t need no fancy dresses, no chips or goody bags. Just running, the essence of it.
